I have created this blog to keep track of my progress on playing guitar, using the book "10 Minute Guitar Workout" by David Mead, where he proposes a guitar workout method that requires only 10 minutes on a daily basis. I am not publishing the excercises because of copyright reasons. I will also include some articles, opinions and other resources related to the electric guitar. Finally, I only hope it fits its purpose.

Chris Broderick
Christopher Broderick (born March 6, 1970 in Lakewood, Colorado, USA) is the lead and rhythm guitarist for the popular American thrash metal band Megadeth. He currently resides in Sherman Oaks, California. Formerly the lead guitarist and keyboardist for Jag Panzer, he appeared on the last four Jag Panzer albums The Age of Mastery, Thane to the Throne (a concept album about Shakespeare's Macbeth), Mechanized Warfare and Casting the Stones before moving on to Megadeth, replacing Glen Drover. Before joining Megadeth and while still in Jag Panzer, he was also a touring guitarist for Nevermore between 2001 and 2003 and then again between 2006 and 2007. (Wikipedia)
I found this video, where he explains about how he got into guitar playing, his habits, influences and his approach when playing... inspiring getting these kind of feedback from such monsters as Chris!!!
The other day my wife showed me this video, which I think is awesome and I would like to share with you:
Malagueña Salerosa also known as La Malagueña is a well-known Son Huasteco or Huapango song from Mexico, which has been covered by many performers. The song is that of a man telling a woman (from Málaga, Spain) how beautiful she is, and how he would love to be her man, but that he understands her rejecting him for being too poor.
This song became known internationally and has been recorded by many non-Mexican artists like: José Feliciano Rafael Mendez on his album Mendez And Almeida Together Paco de Lucía on his 1967 album Dos guitarras flamencas en America Latina Eddie Palmieri on his 1998 album El Rumbero del Piano. Bud & Travis on their 1959 album Bud and Travis. The Limeliters on their 1960 album The Limeliters. Sandler and Young Los Caballeros Lydia Mendoza Helmut Lotti in 2000 on the album Latino Classics. Pablito Ruiz Placido Domingo Ray Boguslav in 1961 on the album Curfew shall not ring tonight Monitor MF359 The San Francisco rock band The Tubes sang it on their 1975 album debut. Tex-mex band Chingón recorded it for the soundtrack of Kill Bill Vol. 2. And many more.
Chingon was formed by film director Robert Rodriguez to record songs for his 2003 film Once Upon a Time in Mexico. They contributed on Mexico and Mariachis, a compilation album to Rodríguez' Mariachi Trilogy, and released their debut album, Mexican Spaghetti Western, in 2004. The band's name comes from a Mexican slang term, chingón, loosely but closely enough meaning "badass" and/or "awesome". Chingon also contributed the song "Malagueña Salerosa" to Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 2 — which Rodríguez scored — and a live performance by the band was included on the film's DVD release. They also contributed to the soundtrack for his next film, a collaboration with Tarantino, Grindhouse, doing a cover of the film's opening theme, re-titling it "Cherry's Dance of Death". Rodríguez plays guitar in the band. The band has also made a appearance on "George Buys a Vow", an episode of the US sitcom George Lopez.
Here is the acclaimed video... enjoy! Here is the link for the video, because the Share option is not working for me: Chingón - Malagueña Salerosa
