Chart 2, Level D-

Beginning of Chart 2! It is slightly different than the first one, but it shouldn't be a problem. I am still feeling stuffed because we came back from having a feast at Omar's Balti House, I ate quite a lot actually. Before, we went to watch the movie "300" at the cinema, it was awesome!

By the way, I peeked through "Ride the Lightning" in the Guitar Pro, and managed to get down the main riffs. I will go for the solos now. They are simple blues and pentatonic, but is the speed that counts here!

Anyway, I am looking forward to go back home this Monday. Cool!

Chart 1, Level A+

Finally, the top of the chart. But you know what? According to the author, it shouldn't take me more than four months to complete all of the charts, but I've been stuck on chart one! Anyway, in couple of days I will move to chart two, taking maximum five days for each level.

Other than that, everything is fine. I managed to learn the main solo for "The Four Horsemen", and some bits of "Trust" and "Reckoning Day". Also, I have been busy with the Snails coursework for AI for Games module. Now, I have to get started for Poster Day for my Final Year Project.

Japanese lessons are going fine as well, just need more practice. That's all for now. Later!

Jose Gonzalez

This 28-year-old songwriter from Argentinean origin has been being played for quite some days next door. Yeah, my brother found his music somehow and he kept on playing it again and again. I think he become popular after using one of his songs, "Heartbeats", for the Sony Bravia advert.

His name is Jose Gonzalez, and his influences are various, from eclectic to bossa nova and flamenco. His picking pattern and his alternate guitar tuning gives it that hypnotizing and appealing touch. It is recommended for a relaxing and calm mood. From his album "Veneer", which is entirely acoustic, the songs that appeal to me are the previously mentioned "Heartbeats", plus "Deadweight on Velveteen", "Crosses" and "Lovestain".

Definitely an alternative for the distortion maniacs, and maybe for acoustic and MTV Unplugged material.
