Keep on the progress through the chart

Still on Chart 1, but today I made to Level B-. Now is less left to reach up to A+.

Anyway, the other day I went to Sheffield, and I had some time to check out the HMV there. They had the latest album of Black Label Society, "Shot to Hell", so you could listen to it, and I must say is good! It has the Zakk Wylde trademark, obviously, but is quite fresh and kick ass too. Considering buying it actually, hehe.

This is all at the moment. My desktop is giving me trouble now, so I will be busy with that, hopefully, not long enough!

Progress through the chart

Hey, I have made it one step up in the chart! It is now Chart 1, Level C+. The gaps are getting wider between one level and the following one, but it gets more and more complicated, and you are not supposed to advance until you feel totally comfortable with the one you are dealing now.

To add something new, the other day I was talking to my friend David through the msn. He addressed me a website of a heavy metal act called Area 62, and they are from Gran Canaria, my home!! If you wanna know more about them, check out their website, I wont tell anything else.

To end this post, I found this video where Dave Mustaine gives a hint of his guitar playing sytle and other stuff. I personally think that the last album of Megadeth, "The System Has Failed" surely kicks ass, and compared to the latest one of Metallica, "St Anger" (which is something innovating, but not something expected by Metallica), Megadeth has done way better! Anyway, I would like to state that I still remain a fan of both bands.

Marty Friedman vs Paul Gilbert

I have added to my audio library the last two albums of awesome guitarist Marty Friedman. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of rock and metal guitars. The collection of soundscapes he can come up with is just incredible, and is not that complex or inticrate as Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, for those who don't like guitar virtuoso albums. Check out his new album, "Loudspeaker":

I have also got some of Paul Gilberts albums from his solo career. He is the rock dude with plenty of energy in his playing style, backed up with his precise and cutting-edge technique, with his personal carismatic touch. His latest album is "Acoustic Samurai", recorded live in Tokyo, Japan:

To end this post, I will like to add a video I found at You Tube, where both guitarists are invited to a Japanese TV show to prove their skills with the "axe". Enjoy!
