Mad Capsule Markets
Well, I havent been training with my guitar, but now I have moved on to a decent flat, sharing it with two guys, and I have internet now, finally!! :D Some time soon I can bring now the guitar and keep on with the practice.
Meanwhile, I wanted to write this post to keep in the posterity this moment, when I have been listening over and over again The Mad Capsule Markets, a japanese trio (Kyono - vocalist, Takeshi Ueda - bassist, and Motokatsu Miyagami - drummer) with a very experimental style, mixing electronic music with heavy metal and punk rock. Sugoi desu ne?! They have been hanging around since the 90's, and they have played along with such bands as Rage Against The Machine, Helmet, Atari Teenage Riot and The Red Hot Chilli Peppers. My friend David saw them live at the Download Festival 2005. They took a break since 2006 and they are busy with solo projects and the like.
I have been listening to their 1999´s album OSC-DIS (Oscillator in Distortion) in my iPod Nano, which except two songs, the rest are pure hardcore songs along with techno and drum´n´bass beats. Interesting approach and very innovative for the time it was released. Maybe it could remind you of the remixes done by Fear Factory to their original songs (which they suck, by the way), but these guys are a lot better.
Here is a video from their track, "Pulse":
