Apocalyptica

After showing my friend Sri around, I have been job hunting. Hopefully, everything will be set soon, before my brother's wedding.

While I was going through the discography of Guano Apes, I found a track where Sandra Nasic does a collaboration with Finnish band called Apocalyptica, and the track is called "Path Vol. 2". They are a group of three, formerly four, clasically trained cellists, and have incorporated a drummer since 2005. They started in the music scene with their debut album Plays Metallica by Four Cellos, all Metallica covers played just with cellos. This gave them huge recognition and a break through the mainstream, with a huge amount of fans from the metal scene. Theis second album, Inquisition Symphony, was again a cover album, but this time included covers of such bands as Faith No More, Sepultura, Pantera, and then again, more Metallica. Can you tell they are Metallica fans? :P The rest of their albums are all original songs, and some of them have some guest musicians such as Dave Lombardo, from Slayer, or Cristina Scabbia, from Lacuna Coil.

Here, I would like to post, first of all, the video for the song with Sandra Nasic, and then, I will leave some other videos with other guest musicians. Enjoy this alternative to electric guitars:

"Path Vol. 2" with Sandra Nasic

"Bittersweet" with Ville Valo (HIM) & Lauri Ylönen (The Rasmus)

"Repressed" with Max Cavalera (Soulfly)

"Seemann" with Nina Hagen
